Wedding Photography FAQs
-
My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. I'll give you some direction when you need it, but most of the day I'll let things happen naturally and capture it as it unfolds.
-
Enough to help you look and feel great, without turning your wedding into a photoshoot. I'll step in when needed and leave you to enjoy yourselves the rest of the time.
-
Absolutely. Most people aren't used to having a camera pointed at them, so I'll give you enough direction to feel comfortable without making it feel forced.
-
Yes. We'll keep them organised and efficient, getting the important combinations without spending half your wedding standing in a line.
-
Usually around 20 to 30 minutes. I'll make the most of the light and location, then get you back to your guests.
-
Of course. I'll capture the dress, rings, flowers, venue and all the little details you've put time into choosing.

Choosing the right wedding photographer is about finding someone whose style and approach feel right for you. Some photographers focus on traditional posed photos, while others specialise in natural documentary storytelling.
My approach is relaxed and storytelling led, focusing on real emotion and genuine moments. I want your photos to reflect how the day actually felt, capturing the atmosphere, laughter and connections that make your wedding unique.
It’s also important that you genuinely like and feel comfortable with your photographer. They’ll be with you for a big part of your wedding day, so having someone you get along with makes a huge difference. Feeling relaxed around your photographer helps everything flow naturally and allows those real moments to unfold. -
My style is natural, storytelling wedding photography. I focus on real emotion, genuine moments and the atmosphere of the day rather than lots of posing.
Think relaxed, honest and full of feeling.
-
For most of the day I take a relaxed approach and blend in like a friend with a camera. This helps everyone feel comfortable and allows moments to unfold naturally.
During couple portraits I’ll guide you a little more, mainly helping you stand in good light and giving gentle prompts so you can simply be yourselves rather than feeling posed.
-
Most of the time I photograph weddings on my own, which works really well for the majority of weddings. It allows me to move around freely and capture moments naturally without things feeling too crowded.
For larger weddings, or if you’d like extra coverage of different parts of the day, a second photographer can absolutely be added. This can be really helpful during parts of the day like morning preparations or when lots of things are happening at once.
-
Yes, I’m very used to working alongside videographers and content creators. Weddings are always a team effort, and I’m always happy to work together so we can all capture the day smoothly.
Good communication and a bit of coordination goes a long way, making sure everyone gets what they need while keeping things relaxed and natural for you. When everyone enjoys what they do and is there for the same reason, it naturally makes for a great team effort.

The number of images depends on the coverage you choose, but galleries are always carefully edited to tell the full story of your wedding day from beginning to end.
My goal is always to deliver a collection of photos that capture the emotion, atmosphere and important moments of the day.
-
It depends on the package, but you'll receive a carefully edited collection telling the full story of your day. The approximate number is listed with each package.

You’ll usually receive your full gallery within around three months.
However, I always send a small selection of sneak peek photos within about 48 hours, so you have a few beautiful moments to enjoy and share shortly after the wedding.
-
Your images are delivered through a beautifully presented, private online gallery which is password protected.
From there you can download your photos and easily share the gallery with family and friends.

Absolutely. I'm very used to working alongside other suppliers and making sure everyone can do their thing without getting in each other's way.

Most weddings are photographed by me alone. A second photographer can be added where extra coverage is useful or needed.
-
I'll always do everything I can to make sure your wedding is covered. I have trusted photographers I can call on if an emergency means I genuinely can't be there.

Most couples book around 12 to 24 months ahead, particularly for popular summer dates. If you've got your date confirmed, it's worth getting in touch.

I lost a lot of my family photographs when I was younger, which made me realise just how important they are. I photographed my first wedding over ten years ago and haven't looked back.

The ceremony. You never quite know how people will react, and those genuine moments of laughter, tears and emotion are always incredible to photograph.
